Astatic JT5

Astatic Commercial Audio Products was first brought into existence in 1931 by two amateur ham radio operators who required static-free transmittal system microphones. Working in tandem with local engineers to develop the first crystal radio microphone of the company, they suceeded in their endeavour and developed the microphone D-104. From elimination of ststic, the company grew from strength to strength and brought about many innovative technical advancements in contemporary microphones and is now the automatic first choice of the paging audio professional. The name 'Astatic' owes its orign to the first attempts to build a microphone which eliminates static or, is "Astatic"-in other words.

The Astatic JT5 microphone is a vintage and collector's item. In its heydays it was basically a harp type mic and was the Astatic Mic best preferred by ham operators and for paging appications. The Astatic JT5 mic can be called the " Holy Grail" of vintage Astatic microphones. The speacility of the Astatic JT5 Microphome is the impedance crystal element with it. It comes with or without a stand.
The housing of the Astatic JT5 Mic is such that you cannot do much harm to it, even if you choose to. The microphone is provided with a 1.8 mts long heavy duty coiled cord with molded strain relief. Longer cords can also be had but the mic accuracy and features dips for long cords.
